This apartment required a top-to-bottom vacate clean to meet strict agent standards. We encountered several problem areas typical of high-use city rentals — soap scum in the shower recess, dust-lined skirtings, and a kitchen that had seen better days (crusty oven trays and sticky cutlery drawers). With carpet, tile, glass, and stainless steel to contend with, it was a full-spectrum job.

We tackled this clean in structured stages:

• Kitchen: Scrubbed down all cabinetry, benchtops, oven trays, stovetop, dishwasher, and inside the fridge

• Bathroom: Cleared out grime in shower tiles and screen, disinfected the vanity and sink, removed streaks from the mirror, and sanitised the toilet

• Laundry nook: Polished all surfaces, taps and removed buildup from the drain inlet

• Floors: Vacuumed carpet thoroughly, followed by a full mop of the tiled zones

• Glass and balcony doors: Spot-cleaned to crystal clarity

• Final detail: Power outlets, vents, and skirtings wiped down
